Optomise were asked to write the forward for the Dementia Services Department newsletter which put out a call to every university in the UK for research on the links between increasing levels of dementia and failing eyesight.

Optomise were invited to join a panel chaired by the Thomas Pocklington Trust under which Bradford University were carrying out a study into the linkages between dementia and vision.
Optometry Northern Ireland
William Stockdale of Optomise sits on the committee of Optometry Northern Ireland who represent opticians in Northern Ireland and liaise with the department of health.
The Domiciliary Committee FODO
William Stockdale and Len Telford, of Optomise are both founding members and continue to sit on the National Domiciliary Committee which meets four times a year in London. The committee is committed to ever improving the quality of eye care provided in the domiciliary environment and is supported in their work with the College of Optometrists, The Association of Optometrists, The Association of British Dispensing Opticians and the Federation of Dispensing and Ophthalmic Opticians.
